Shambles of a company. The 1st Delivery guy didnt seem bothered and was going to leave it in the road, after i refused delivery and demanded a refund i was told it would cost me £50 to return it to them. I contacted trading standards and they said they would re deliver it for £15. So I accepted. Then the redelivered it but with a guy in his 70s. He told me i had to take it off the wagon one bag at a time. When i spoke to their customer services they were very obnoxious, claiming they have 700 customers a week that are very happy. Personally I will NEVER order from this shambles of a company again.

Avoid avoid avoid. Before ordering a large bag of top soil on line last Tuesday for next day delivery I telephoned Topsoil Shop to ensure that next day delivery actually meant next day delivery. The girl I spoke to went away and asked someone and came back and confirmed that the soil would definitely be delivered next day so I ordered on line and paid £159.60 for next day delivery. I then arranged for my gardener to be here for the following day. Mid afternoon the next day I again telephoned Topsoil Shop to ensure that the soil was in it's way. The girl said that she would call the haulier and phone me straight back. That call never came neither did the topsoil. I called them on Thursday morning to find out what had happened to my topsoil. Again she needed to phone the haulier to find out what had happened and call me back. This time they did call back with a load of gobbledygook basically saying they hadn't got a clue what had happened, something about a label falling off a pallet and that I would not be getting my topsoil today and could not be sure when it would be coming. Total chaos. I explained that my gardener was standing next to me waiting to get on with the work and who was going to pay him for his aborted time. She then denied they had any liability and started quoting "terms and conditions." I cancelled the order and am waiting for the return of my £159.60. Now here's the best part. I've just ordered the same stuff through a local supplier...cost...£76.40. Half the price of Topsoil Shop. Avoid avoid avoid.

I would never use this company again!!!!!!! The 1 ton bag of top soil arrived, and as soon as the driver got of of the vehicle he started complaining. He said that he was going to drop the load off the vehicle and leave it on the road, as his pallet machine would not cope taking it onto the gravel driveway. Even though I had wrote on the drivers orders that it was going to be left on a gravel driveway, No one from the company had picked up on this and maybe phoned to explain that this would not be possible. What was really unforgiving was the rude and aggressive driver that I had to endure. He became very aggressive when I explained that the load could not be left on the roadside, due to the volume of traffic that use the road. He then sarcastically said he would take the load back. I asked him for his paperwork so I could phone the company and at that point he angrily told me not to wave my hands in front of him. All I wanted was the paperwork so I could phone the company and see if we could resolve this issue. I then told him I would get the phone number of the internet. At that point he got back in his vehicle and left. So rude aggressive and unprofessional. I am a Major in the British Army and if I behaved in this manner then I would most probably be sacked. I would never ever use this company again especially, so people please take care when ordering from this company. Major Michael Bohanan

I used Topsoil Shop to calculate how much soil I needed for my vegetable garden and to supply said soil. The website was really easy to use, the calculator giving me the correct amount of soil. When I emailed them to see when my order would be delivered and they responded very quickly. The soil arrived and was fantastic; I would use them again and recommend them to family and friends.
