The "wet room tray" I bought for my bathroom is promoted as such that it "allows you to create a seamless flow in your bathroom", "featuring integrated drainage gradients" and for "making a wet room a quicker and easier option due to its ready-made gradient" Unfortunately, this "wet room tray" does none of those things. In fact, in turns out that there is a major design flaw - in that the "inbuilt drainage gradients" aren't sufficient and require one end of the tray to be laid higher than the other so that the water will actually drain! What are you supposed to do? Lay the whole bathroom at an angle? My builder checked with the local brand manager in Fulham, who had confirmed the tray was to be laid flat. Unfortunately, this is not the case and I now have a very expensive shower that doesn't drain properly, through the tray. The local manager came and inspected and agreed it didn't drain and confirmed that he'd never be told this in any of his trainings. Unfortunately head office just said it had been fitted incorrectly, because it had been fitted according to the way it's promoted and according to the directions of the store manager, instead of the the non-existent instructions! The only place that it is mentioned is on the instructions, which were not included and only emailed over once the tray had been fit and a complaint had been raised. What's really really bad is that Topps Tiles are fully aware of the flaws of this tray and yet they continue to promote is as stated above! Very greedy company that is happy to mess up client's bathrooms in return for profit. I will never again use Topps Tiles for any of my projects.
