After a customer of Hastings Insurance drove into the back of me (they were on their mobile phone!), I was unable to work for several days (I'm self employed) due to my car being off the road for repairs. Hastings refused to pay anything towards my loss of earnings, on the advice from TOPPINGS, as in their view, I did not lose any money? They said that I would have been paid by my customers the following week instead?! My Wife (also self employed) was reversed into a few weeks after my 'accident' and the other drivers insurance company (AVIVA) paid for the repairs and her loss of earnings within a week. If they can and will do it, why won't Hastings? AVOID Hastings and Toppings!! Neither company has any morals!
