    Terrible service. Purchased a ring and paid for resizing. Was promised it within 10 days. It didn’t arrive. I wasn’t kept informed of the delays and had to keep chasing myself. It was for a present and was time sensitive, but the store offered no help. I was then sent an email from a courier with someone else’s order which they were going this is to mistakenly send to me. I was then promised next day delivery, but nothing arrived. I called and spoke to the director who talked over me, was rude, sarcastic and offensive. Honestly, really vile. Apparently I’m ‘old fashioned’ because people are more understanding nowadays. I’m understanding to a point, but when there are 3 consecutive errors without being informed and no apology, it is unfair. To have at least 10% of your reviews being 1 star, as an independent retailer, clearly shows that their commitment to customer service is dismal. The director quotes 30 years of customer service. This was the business inherited from her parents. She has a lot to learn! I am not the only reviewer to mention rudeness and a conceited manner. Please avoid this place if you want good customer service and pleasant people to deal with.

    A fantastic experience from start to finish. I’d found Tomfoolery online while looking for an engagement ring that felt unique and unusual. Before travelling to the store I messaged the team and Laura was super helpful and responsive. By a happy coincidence it was Laura who looked after us in store, giving lots of great advice and suggestions. As someone who doesn’t see themselves as a traditional bride, I was put at ease right away. In the end I opted for a bespoke service and both Laura and Leah were totally brilliant at keeping me informed in the process, answering my questions, sending photos and offering great advice. The process from deciding on design and shape, to sourcing stones to payment and delivery was excellent. My ring arrived super quickly and safely too. I’m so thrilled to have a custom ring that’s not like anything else I’ve seen. I love it so much and I’ll definitely be back to buy more gorgeous jewellery from Tomfoolery!

    If you’re buying a gift for someone who’s quite specific about their jewellery then don’t bother buying something from here. They don’t offer refunds which in this day and age is INSANE, especially considering how much their jewellery costs. Instead you will be offered store credit so you can buying something else that is extremely overpriced.
