I took my husband and son here last night for my husband’s birthday. My husband knows a thing or two about Chinese and south East Asian food and was very impressed. We ordered salt and pepper squid. Large, succulent strips of fresh calamari in a sweet and salty batter. It was delicious. For mains we had Szechuan seafood hotpot, Singapore fried noodles and crispy belly pork. My son had a massive bowl of steaming hot udon with wonton noodle soup. It is one the best crispy belly pork I’ve had outside of Hong Kong. Utterly delicious with crackling to die for. The hotpot did not disappoint either. Large prawns, lots of tofu and veg, squid and fish cake in a delicate but spicy gravy, hotter than the surface of the sun.The Singapore noodles were lightly spiced, seasoned to perfection and velvety smooth. The staff at Tofu are lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Tofu is one of the best south East Asian restaurants in south London. They also do dim sum.
