if I could give no stars I would and its little wonder it was empty ! loos all broken food undercooked cold and inedible and a very poor attitude from the manager "sarah" who seemed to think the loos weren't her problem and nor was the bad quality of the place waited 10 mins for service at the counter . no gravey . Hard potatoes . Hard undercooked veg . Then a very stroppy rude manager who clearly didn't feel the need to apologise STEER CLEAR worst toby I've ever been to reporting to the NSF and health and safety on the loos

Do Not Come Here!! To start with we arrived and got seated, went to the carvery and then had to wait 10 minutes to get someone’s attention to serve us, after this we had to wait a additional 5-10 minutes to get gravy. There was no Pepsi max in the refill machine, the toilets was disgusting with doors taped off, flooring missing, toilets hanging off the wall and the food was inedible (cold, undercooked, lumpy) Tried to raise a complaint to a manager but was met by Sarah who had the most shockingly rude attitude. She could not be bothered to try and give any form of customer service, she was argumentative and never even apologised for the issues I will not be returning

We booked online for a table at 7.45 but wasn't told on arrival that the restaurant was shutting at 8 oclock, the waitress Katie I think it was, was very polite can't fault her for anything, the man serving at the carvery had a unfriendly unapproachable manner, had a very can't be bothered attitude towards things, just threw the meat on the plate everywhere and just shoved the plate over in an aggressive manner , then after as I went back up to get more mac and cheese and stuff for my little one I asked kindly if there was anymore and he just replied clearly not it's packed away and walked off, we come here allot due to moving to the area and it's honestly been the worst experience we have had

Parking: We parked in a disabled bay which was very conveniently close to the ramp leading in to the carvery. Wheelchair accessibility: My elderly mother and aunt use mobile walking frames and the access in to the Southend Toby Carvery is easy from the car park and moving around inside to the table, service counter and toilets is also easy for them. Dietary restrictions: My elderly aunt is diabetic and the Toby staff totally understood her dietary requirements.
