We attended on a Sunday late afternoon and understandably it was very busy. It was not sorted calm atmosphere at all inside as everyone seemed to want to rush around everywhere. We had a 2 year old and a new born and asked to be sat in a booth or a corner as baby would need feeding. We were told we could not as they were for 5 people only and we were put right in the middle of the restaurant on show with everyone walking around you. So when you book make sure you request this. The food was good, potatoes were nice, and it was all hot. We ordered ice cream for desert and it came to the table melted. The staff did change this though. The Highchair we were given was absolutely filthy and clearly had not been cleaned for a while. The baby changing facilities were good but you must ask for the key from the bar to gain entry.

The menu is pretty much roast dinner only. There's a few sandwiches but not any other choice, really. 7 of us had roast dinner with a choice of 4 different meats. You could have one slice of each or a couple of any particular one. You then help yourself to roast potatoes and veg. Everyone ate their meals, but to honest the quality was just OK. Yorkshire pudding so crispy was more like a wafer in places. The beef was chewy, but other meats ok. Gravy was very nice, half of us liked the potatoes other half didn't so depends on taste. I wouldn't want to go back. Good value if you enjoy the food, drinks unlimited refills but expensive if you drink just one. Worked out about £15 a head for dinner and a soft drink and none of us was hungry after. Service consisted of bringing our drinks and then the bill.

The food was value for money and plentiful. I was disappointed that I had been sent various discount vouchers but could only use 1 of them on my visit. This also voided our blue light discount. I couldn't use my free drinks voucher which I wasn't told until we were presented with the bill so not such a saving after all. I now know only one voucher each visit . So why bombard people with these offers and they cannot be combined Parking: Plenty of free parking
