To Have and Hire are honestly such a great hire company. They set everything up for us at our venue meaning we didn’t have to do anything on the morning of our wedding. From our first contact the company were amazing and even though I changed my mind on so many occasions they were always very responsive. If you are getting married at Cissbury Barns then you should go with this company. They work very well with the Cissbury team and need very minimal instructions which makes everything so much easier. Thank you for decorating the venue so well on our wedding Day. The Spragg’s xx

We used To Have and To Hire for our wedding on 17th September, it was a small wedding of only 40 guests. We were very happy with the service we received when we went for our appointment and selected what we wanted. It came to just over £1,000. Our wedding arrived and we met the delivery people, they set up the room and were very nice and friendly. The room looked good. Sadly mid-reception one of our guests collapsed with suspected heart attack which, as you can imagine horrific. Luckily we had two experienced nurses who stabilised the guest until the ambulance arrived. Sadly the guest knocked over a large vase housing fake flowers and the vase smashed. Fast forward to Sunday morning we went to the venue to meet he collectors. We pointed out that the vase smashed and showed them the fake flower arrangement. We told them how it happened and said that of course we would be happy to pay for the damages. The collectors then continued to put all the hire items together with the check list, at no stage were we informed that there were missing items. One week later we received an email stating there were flowers missing along with two table settings. Why did it take a week to let us know the missing items? Also, why weren’t we informed on the Sunday that here were apparently items outstanding? If they were indeed missing, we would have found them. The lack of communication was poor. We emailed back on numerous occasions stating 100% the flowers were there, but of course not the vase, which were happy to pay for. Their emails were contradictory saying that the flowers were not there, then lost. So it continued. We have now been charged the £250 deposit, which for one glass vase is excessive. They didn’t even ask after the welfare of our guest. We would like to warn anyone to be vigilant. Be there when they arrive and document everything, especially taking pictures. But more importantly be there when they collect and do the same twice over. It all seemed very calculated and made us feel like liars. Personally we think you should avoid them all together, there are many other hire companies. Charlotte & Mark

I would definitely recommend To Have & To Hire. We hired their fairy lights, log slices and they hung our own bunting for our wedding reception. The fairy lights and bunting looked amazing, we were so pleased with the result. The team who came out to fit them and take them down were really friendly and professional in their work, making sure it was perfect before they left. Communication was very easy during the process and they were flexible to the times we had access to the hall.
