Visited recently with my husband and sister who is a wheelchair user. I called prior to visiting to enquire about accessibility for wheelchair users and was told.. its no problem at all if the ramp isn't out pop inside and someone will put it out for you. We arrived in Broadway and had a walk around then headed to Tisanes for our afternoon tea. No ramp so my husband went inside and asked if the ramp could be put out. It might be a few minutes .. we said thank you no problem. Then a middle aged woman with shoulder length grey hair came to the door and said quite curtly it will be ten minutes. She then came back out and said to my sister ' can you walk or get out of the chair' her tone wasn't particularly friendly and certainly not helpful. If my sister could walk she wouldnt be sat in a wheelchair, I replied in an equally blunt tone No she can't! My husband said to her was that question really necessary. We finally got in and seated the afternoon tea was very nice as were the waitress and lady who served us to items before leaving. Don't advertise as *wheelchair access to the tea toom is available on request* if when requested you as a customer are made to feel like an inconvenience. This is aimed the grey haired lady who appeared to be some sort of manager. Otherwise a very pleasant tea room.

Very disappointing lunchtime visit. Met by grumpy lady. Waited ages for some to come and take our order. Food was very average. Sandwiches presented either with nothing, or with a few limp leaves dropped onto the plate - no dressing. No crisps. Same grumpy lady took our money - no “was everything ok for you?” Just not bothered. There are so many wonderful places to eat in Broadway, so go somewhere else.
