Only went in the Post office to post a parcel ,to be told there was a problem with the till and to return in 15 minutes which I did on my return the young girl was so rude and told me it wasn’t working no apology very rude .

Went here today to buy stamps, we are not local. The 2 ladies serving were very rude unhelpful not a good experience. Every where else in whitby has been a joy. Next visit I will bring my own stamps to save disturbing these 2 women.

Polite and helpful staff - yes, otherwise a place stuck in the past. Often long slow-moving queues like the Labour Exchange queues of the 1970s, also unable to accept a prepaid Track 24 package after 4.45pm even though the mail collection time from the post office is advertised as 5.00pm and the postman had not been and was nowhere in sight. Why? ‘Because we have to do the paperwork’. The post office clerk just needed to scan the items, swivel 180 degrees on her chair and put it in the sack behind her. Come on ladies - you need to up your gain!!
