  I bought an inexpensive dress and a bolero from different sites on the internet for a very quiet elopement wedding. Elisa provided a wonderful service. She altered the dress and fitted the bolero which made the outfit cohesive and upgraded it by many degrees. The quality of her work was incredibly high - I could not see any evidence of the stitching in the areas she had altered. Apart from the fitting service, she gave very good and friendly advice on other aspects such as underwear and make up, with recommendations of products to look out for. I cannot fault the service given, and would recommend to anyone. Services: Alterations, Fitting & custom tailoring

  The bridal pixie was...quite honestly...the fairy godmother I needed to help save my wedding day. As dramatic as that sounds, that is exactly what happened. I received the initial made to measure wedding dress straight from the designer whilst visiting family in another country & was taken aback when the finished product arrived. It was not fit to wear & I only had a couple months until my wedding day. Not knowing how it could be fixed, I looked up dressmakers & tailors in Cambridge. My local one was closed for the week so I decided to make my way from the city centre to Girton. About a 20 min cycle/15-20 min drive. I cannot explain how validating, reassuring & helpful Elisa was. She knew it was constructed poorly & gave me some guidance on what my options were as a bride & how she could help. She provided a quote, making it clear how much it would cost to reconstruct this poorly made gown after examining it & to consider the cost of a new sample or sale gown. She also used her talent & creativity to suggest ways we could change the dress, when asked, and how much that would likely cost. She was happy to fix my dress & knew she could do it but made it very clear that she understood why I might want to buy a new dress due to the negativity tied to the one I brought in. She clearly cares about her craft & the overall happiness of the customer. She was easy to keep in touch with over the phone/messaging her business on WhatsApp. In the end, I found and bought a new sample dress & as the cost to alter the new dress in the store was the same reasonable price as The Bridal Pixie's & I was already so grateful to Elisa, I chose to continue my services with the Bridal Pixie as I knew I could trust her to make it right. Elisa sorted the appointments & collection days with me & was flexible to my schedule (I only had a month left till the wedding!). In that time, she checked with me on what I would like and offered services I might not have thought of. She hemmed the dress to the length needed with my shoes, lifted the shoulder straps that were too long, added a "something blue" & Swarovski Crystal wrist loop, She steamed my dress & veil closer to my wedding day & advised of how best to upkeep & travel with it to my destination. She also added an over bustle, warning that, while I may think it is prettier than the other option, it is likely to come off, while the other option is meant to last. She was right but as I only wanted it for a short time & preferred the look of it, it was perfect. The wrist loop was a great option to help me dance in a big dress as well. Elisa, thank you for helping me with my wedding dress. You are phenomenal at what you do. But most importantly, thank you for guiding me through the grief the original dress brought me. & Thank you as your guidance helped me win my dispute against the designers & gain a full refund!! Thank you, overall, for the happy memories you helped create! Highly recommend the Bridal Pixie. As you can see! She knows what it takes to alter, fix, tailor & design beautiful garments that will flatter you with exceptional customer service.

  There doesn’t seem to be the right words to use to express how grateful we are to Elisa, not just for turning my dress into my dream dress but for everything she did for us on the morning. No bride should ever get married without having the magic that is Elisa at their wedding. From steaming dresses, shirts, a veil and goodness knows what else to helping my children get ready, even down to capturing little snippets of the day I honestly don’t think the morning could have run without you. Thank you so much for everything you did and for giving me the confidence to walk down the aisle confident and feeling a million dollars! My dress itself looked like a totally different dress after the alterations and in a good way. I had lost a lot of weight so there was a lot of adjustments that needed doing and I couldn’t believe how perfect you made it for me. It really was like it had been made to measure.   I went to The Bridal Pixie knowing my dress would be quite a lot of work, especially as I had lost a lot of weight since purchasing it and there was lots of intricate lace. Amongst other issues that Elisa skilfully corrected, my main concern was that my dress displayed too much cleavage, which Elisa fixed by adding lace from other areas of the dress to close the gap on my chest. It was beautiful and looked so natural. Elisa is a master in her own field and someone who made me feel comfortable right from the start. Elisa listened to my vision and I can not thank her enough for her patience, her skill and her genuinely warm personality. With Bridal Pixie, rest assured your dress is in safe hands! 100% recommend.   Elisa is an absolute dream! She made my dress fit like a glove, look and feel sensational, even when I thought it fit pretty well to start with. We changed a few bits on my dress (removing horse hair from the train and adding a belt which was actually a hair vine) and they just completed it. I couldn't recommend Elisa enough to anyone looking for alterations. Her friendly and welcoming personality was relaxing and filled me with confidence I had chosen the right lady for the job!   I cannot recommend Elisa at The Bridal Pixie enough! She did an absolutely fantastic job with my dress alterations (taking my dress in two sizes) and made me feel so comfortable during our appointments, even helping me choose a sparkly veil that complimented my dress. Her advice was also invaluable in relation to little tricks that would help with wearing my dress on the day. My mum was also worried about transporting my wedding dress crease-free to the venue on the day, so Elisa offered her dressing service for the morning of our wedding at South Farm to help with this. I am so pleased that we did use this service from Elisa. She steamed my wedding dress, the bridesmaids' dresses (which were a difficult material to iron) and our robes very quickly on the morning of the wedding and they were all perfect. Elisa also helped me with my dress and stayed right up until I walked down the aisle to make sure it was looking its absolute best. It took any stress that we might have had with getting ready in the morning and made sure that we all had a great start to the day. I can honestly say that asking Elisa to be part of our wedding morning was one of the best decisions that we made!   Elisa is an absolute Queen! Her and her team are unbelievably talented. I was really let down with my original seamstress for my wedding dress. I was devastated and hated my dress and the way it fit I contacted Elisa with less than two weeks to my wedding. Within 3 days my dress was completely transformed. She even came in on her holiday to see me. I cannot thank you enough for making me fall in love with my dress all over again and being so kind and understanding.   As a petite bride, it’s so difficult to find a dress that fits. When I found my dress, it was a few sizes too big and way too long. In the hunt for a seamstress to help making my dress a perfect fit, I am so happy I came across The Bridal Pixie.   Good evening lovely, Now the dust has settled and we have come back from our magical honeymoon. Kieran and I really wanted to get in touch following our most incredible wedding day to say just how grateful we are of the part you played in our day, and to say the BIGGEST thank you. From my first fitting you were incredible, you put me at ease, made it all so exciting rather than stressful! I didn’t think my dress needed that many alterations but wow you saw things I never even thought of and really worked your magic! Even when I kept losing weight you were so reassuring and nothing was ever too much trouble! I really wouldn’t have trusted anyone else with my dress. Fast forward to the wedding day and I was so grateful to have you travel all the way to Nottingham to dress me. But not only did you help me get into my dress, you steamed all of the men’s shirts, steamed the bridesmaid dresses, sorted two stains on the bridesmaid dresses, steamed my veil, helped to carry all of our clothes over to the bridal suite and so much more… the list goes on! You were invaluable and I honestly can’t tell you how grateful I was to have you there. Finally stepping into my dress on my wedding was a moment I will never forget, i honestly felt a million dollars and I never wanted to take it off. It was better than I could have dreamed of ♥️. A few people have asked us if we would do our wedding day again…. We really don’t think we would want to, as our day really was that special and that perfect, nothing could ever top it. So we really just want to thank you again, for being such a big part of the most important day of our lives and making it so magical. You are so incredibly talented at what you do, and I really hope that everyone who EVER gets married in the world 🤣 gets to feel the way you have made us feel on our wedding day. We will forever be grateful.
