I had a reservation for 8 people to celebrate my birthday and gender reveal in the restaurant. When I turned up, the shutters were down and when I attempted to call several times it went straight to voicemail. This booking was made weeks before our attendance and my gender reveal party was ruined with all guests turning up separately with no venue to attend. I do not recommend this restaurant. A simple email/phone call could have been made to me if for some reason you were not able to open your restaurant that day.

I had a private booking for my 30th birthday in December 2022. It’s now April 2023. I AM STILL OWED MONEY AND THEY HAVE BEEN IGNORING ME FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS! Several things went wrong on the night of my event, which have already been addressed with the manager and they are fully aware, but for context I’ll summarise it in this review. Prior to the event starting, the venue opened late - I waited outside, and a really nice member of staff (who no longer works there) arrived shortly afterwards to start her shift but she didn’t have keys, so we both waited for some time in the cold (it snowed that weekend) until someone arrived to open up. She then proceeded to inform me that the manager who was handling my event had actually flown out the day before for a business trip to Jamaica, and that the TV downstairs in the basement doesn’t actually work properly and I shouldn’t have been told that it does in the first place (when I initially paid my first deposit, I was told that the TV downstairs works fine - my friend who was present with me upon payment can vouch for this). This left me feeling incredibly anxious right before my party. During my party, the food was hours late and some of it was freezing cold, and another member of staff agreed with this upon touching it. As mentioned, the TV wasn’t working properly in the basement (this was intended to be used to watch the World Cup quarter final with England playing that evening, and then karaoke later on). There were other issues too - it was one thing after another. There was a major lack of communication and lack of organisation on the night, probably because the manager wasn’t actually there. Some of my friends even helped the staff at the beginning of the event, because they didn’t have their things in order. As mentioned, these issues were addressed when I finally heard back from the manager in February, after I chased for 2 whole months via email (I was eventually told that stable Wifi wasn’t accessible for the duration of the business trip). Up until February, I didn’t receive any kind of response from the manager regarding the above. In the meantime, the staff that were working would repeatedly tell me they can’t do anything and only the manager (who was still away at the time) can authorise my deposit refund and address the issues that occured on the night. When me and the manager eventually had communication in February, the manager profusely apologised for everything, which I appreciated. However, these apologies are now completely and utterly meaningless. I was then given a partial refund for the food mishap and I was told I’d receive the rest of my refund (including deposit) once they check over takings/bar spend, as things were a bit all over the place for them at the time. I wasn’t impressed and I understandably did not want to wait any further for my refund. However, I decided to remain patient and somewhat calm, and I accepted this in hope that they wouldn’t keep messing me about. I was wrong. It’s been ANOTHER 2 MONTHS and I’m STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK. AND I’M STILL OWED MONEY! When I phone, it goes straight to voicemail. When I physically go to the venue, the shutters are down. When I email, I don’t get a reply. I cannot get hold of them at all!!! But they’ve opened 2 new branches this year? No one is perfect… but this is just beyond belief. It’s unfortunate because the venue is lovely, the manager is friendly, but they do NOT have their act together and it just seems dodgy now. Communication is beyond poor and the disorganisation is shocking. This whole ordeal has just shown a lack of consideration, regard and respect towards me on their part, and the way they have dealt with my situation is so shameful. As you can imagine this has caused me a great deal of stress! I’ve been left with no choice but to give a 1 star review for the way I’ve been treated. All I want is to stop being ignored, and have all my money back so I can close this chapter for good. Taking all of that into account, I would not recommend.

We booked a table from 5pm. They confirmed the booking. We turned up and the metal bars were down over the door. I tried calling (over 10 times) and it went straight to voicemail. I tried calling the Bayswater venue too (which would also be open at that time) and still voicemail. No good - bad customer service.

I attended a private party. The space was beautiful, great location and the music was outstanding. I didn't give 5 stars as the bar ran out of multiple drinks and mixers half way through the night (Magnums, Wray, Coke!!!). I found the female security unnecessarily hostile towards women but not towards the men smoking inside the building. Lastly, but most importantly, the party was too big for the venue. It was a blatant fire hazard and tickets should have been restricted to the correct number to avoid this. I left early because the lack of air was making me dizzy and the fear that a stampede could happen was just too much. Recent concerts have had deaths because of overcrowding! Please don't take risks with people's lives for money. Other than that happy to attend again and would definitely like to try the food next time.
