Located on a dual carriageway, a couple of miles out of town, this is more of a locals’ pub, with a smattering of visitors from the local Holiday Inn (where I was staying with work for a couple of nights). Greene King cask ales on offer, with discount for CAMRA members, plus the usual lager offerings. The food menu appeared to focus more on quantity than quality, but value for money if that’s your priority. Staff were friendly enough but not enough of them; normally just one serving drinks, taking food orders and answering the phone, with the other serving food. Hence sometimes a long wait to get served. Okay for a quick(ish) drink, but my preference was to walk to the Rochester High Street pubs and get an Uber back to my hotel.
