Everyone says they had a good experience here but I was spoken to very rudely and made to feel uncomfortable by the two men working today which is incredibly disheartening. When I ordered, the men working kept staring and smirking at me but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I bought £10 worth of mixed momo’s which unfortunately weren’t very good for the price, the chicken ones were probably the best. 30 minutes after leaving, I came back to ask if it was possible if I could have a takeaway box as I had some leftovers. The young gentleman working said no, which I thought was strange since I had already bought from him. I said I was willing to pay for the takeaway box if that was the issue because I could see there were boxes beside him. He rudely said to me I should have asked for a takeaway box when I made my order if I wanted a takeaway box, shrugged his shoulders and went back to texting on his phone. I was gobsmacked. I’ve never had customer service like this anywhere in east London and this was extremely appalling behaviour that was completely unreasonable. Nothing I had said to this man justifies the way he treated me through this whole transaction and I was made to feel like I did something wrong by asking a question. It’s not okay to make someone uncomfortable by staring at someone that wants to be a customer to your business and then dismiss a request without a justifiable answer. What makes it worse is that I went to another stall where two lovely men selling cakes gave me a takeaway box free of charge and had the best customer service. They didn’t even have to give me one but they did. I sincerely hope your management takes this seriously and advises your employees on how to treat customers. Kindness goes a long way, you never know what people are going through and what impact your unnecessary attitude can have on someone. Do better.
