We recently used Thyme Building Consultancy to perform work on our house extension. I am aware that they usually do projects far larger than this one, such as housing developments. The work done was extremely thorough, detailed, and professional. The plans sailed through with the local council, and we were provided with a comprehensive specification document to give to our builder. We were also advised on practical elements that enabled us to fully comply with legislation regarding our neighbours. Unfortunately, our builder did not fully comply with the specifications, so the detailed plans and support provided by Thyme Building Consultancy enabled us to ensure that remedial work was carried out by the builder to our satisfaction, at no additional cost to us. The fact that the detailed specification was carried out in advance meant that we could easily prove that we had informed the builder of the correct plans. We have learned a lot about building projects during this process, and one message is that proper professional planning of the project will always ensure a smoother ride later on. If we ever complete another building project then Thyme Building Consultancy will be the first on our list.
