Rubish have not been collected for 3 months now... all flies from bins get inside the house. I do not even know why I am paying £1600 per year, that's around £200 monthly, what am I paying this money for... Thurrock Council is the worst local authority I have ever had to deal with. They just do not care about local people. As long as their salaries are paid, why should they care. I don't even know what they are doing there, because I call about 20-30 times already in the last 2 month and they didn't even move a thinger.... What a shame to live in this area covered by such an irresponsible authority... ....

Only given 1 star because I cannot give ZERO!! Thurrock council are an absolute joke! Iv had my roof leaking since November 2022 and am currently still sat under a leaking ceiling that’s dripping water all over our belongings and ourselves. I have 3 young children one of which is a 10month old baby and the ceiling is ready to completely cave in on top of us yet not one person had responded to assist with getting my repairs handled. It gets passed to Mears who are shockingly rubbish too! Funny how the council will harrass you the minute you stop paying rent but when you need their help they are nowhere to be found.

Catherine Hains is the most unprofessional, rude and disgustingly behaved debt recovery officer I have ever come across. Don’t bother asking for a manager because she is just as bad as the incompetent staff. Is it a requirement to be miserable when hiring at the council? The entire phone call she raised her voice from the start and did not listen to understand what I needed help with, JOSEPHINE WILLIAMS is the manager- if your seeing this you should listen back to her phone calls! I was only trying to pay the bill in full! This whole department is in need of some customer service training especially Temi, he can’t even introduce a call just picks up the phone and grunts! And to think you are supposed to be helping people? Appalling

Absolute cunch of bunts. If there's a bigger waste of oxygen outside of Donald Trump...I'll need clear evidence that it's not everyone involved in Thurrock Council. You get zero days to respond, from notices sent no more than days before, and apparently, when you do, they have infinite timeframes to get back to you. Hypocrisy, and an absolute farce. British government at its finest. Quite simply....live somewhere else.

Rude and patronising on the phone. Talking to their paying residents like children. This council shows so much disrespect to their residents it’s a joke. No point paying council tax as the council actually do nothing. Worst council to stay under in Essex.

What is up with the refuse collections. Told to put brown bins out on 18 October as it was supposedly our week after being suspended for a couple of weeks. Guess what it is now 28 October and the brown bin still hasn't been collected. It's a joke and is making streets look a complete mess all the time. Council tell you not to phone and leave as they will be collected but how long have they got to be there. I'm not goung to keep checking the website for when they might possibly be collected and am certainly not going to keep putting the bin in and out just in case. Wake up Thurrock Council, sort yourselves out.

Worst council in UK, no response for parking permit for two months, fines every day even though you live there, parking fines everywhere, worst roads, fines for everything no resolution for anything. No proper communication from the council, rubbish is some times taken sometimes no. The rich areas are being taken care if the poor areas are neglected.
