I have been a patient for over 20 years. The level of care and empathy I have received has been amazing. I have felt completely supported and engaged in the various medical options available. They always go that extra mile. Thank you

The doctors are absolutely lovely. It has definitely become more difficult to get an appointment, particularly if you are not computer literate, which disadvantages older people, who obviously might need their doctor the most. But if you can follow the process - online through Accurx at 8am, or via 111 (although that can take hours), you will be phoned, and seen if necessary. Ordering repeat prescriptions online is easy, although sometimes medication seems to drop off the list, then you have to go through Accurx to contact them - bit of a palaver. The Accurx system seems to temporarily pause access in the afternoons, even for queries, which really shouldn’t happen, in my opinion.

I have been a patient at the Thurleigh Road Practice for around twenty years. Its standard of care used to be excellent, but in the last few years has utterly collapsed. It has become largely impossible to make an appointment or communicate with the practice. This is not due to any failures in the capability or capacity of the physicians. It is entirely due to catastrophic administrative failures. The practice urgently needs to change its arrangements for booking appointments and communicating with doctors. Until that is done, the practice will continue to fail in its duty of care. As things currently stand, it is completely broken.

Thurleigh Rd Practice has suffered, as many others, from the NHS crisis. I have been a patient for many years and always been well looked after, receiving the best care and concern, crisis or no crisis. Sometimes getting appointments is trying, life has changed since Covid but try and make allowances for a situation no-one wants!

This is a great practice and the standard of care is excellent, with doctors routinely booking follow ups to check treatment was effective. It definitely has a local, family feel. Have been impressed enough to write a review.

I hate to knock anything to do with the NHS, but this practise has literally fallen off a cliff. Miss Patel is very helpful, as is the new Lady Physician, and the nurses Jo and Sophie were always fantastic. But it suffers terribly from poor admin. I have a lot of repeat prescriptions and they are rarely correct. When you raise a complaint you get the standard fob-off denial response. I have been lied to by at-three Doctors with regard to treatment practise. Two of the best Dr’s (Edson & Poole), have left, as has the legendary Jo Fisher. 3 years now, and they are still operating the 8am call in for appointments! I know Dr Peach & Scofield have retired and have seemingly attempted to sell the practise. I guess this is what happens when you semi-privatise parts of the NHS. Being both client and supplier to the NHS must create conflict issues, and temptation to make cut backs that don’t favour the patients. All in all, I regret transferring from Battersea Rise and will seek to move again. It is such a shame, because Covid aside, as it did have an exceedingly well considers reputation

I agree that the Practice is not what it was, post Covid (& my family have been registered since 1996). however, once you get to an actual Dr, the practice is as excellent as ever (hence the 4 stars). I’m particularly appreciative of Dr Ovaisie, and the marvellous Dr Ellis who have been brilliant. It is unbelievably sad to see the NHS falling apart right now. I do hope that this Practice manages to turn itself around despite funding shortages, Dr shortages etc etc. . Btw, after 3 horrible visits to A&E over 6 weeks (having been unable to get an appointment to see a GP) my husband finally saw Dr Patel recently, who spent 45 minutes examining him and organising tests. It’s the wrong way round to get the help you need, but once again, once you see/speak to a Dr here, they are excellent.
