Supposedly, this is the most haunted church in the UK. I enjoyed the walk to and from and the church was nice to look at. With it being derelict, you can’t enter the church and there is no immediate parking. I can imagine it being a nice dog walking spot if local or a quick detour if you’re following the Hertfordshire Way.

Can't believe this old church, also known as Little St Mary's, is 1000 years old!! It's well hidden but worth a look. It's known locally as Cold Christmas Church.

All that remains of this church is the tower & headstones. Lots of folklore surrounds Little Old St.Marys & how it became known as Cold Christmas. Access is by foot only along footpaths that boarder fields,so if wet good footwear may be needed. In my opinion a very picturesque place & you can spend quite some time reading the headstones.

Strange old place - the ruins of a church, with graveyard - but set in a lovely location. Great place to include on a walk or cycle.

An old girlfriend and I had a walk down there back in the 90s during the day and she swears she saw someone looking at her from the window above the door before it was boarded up..and there were no floors in the tower to stand on..she was so creeped out she wanted to leave straight away...and yet back in the early 80s while I was in 2nd ware scout troop..we used to do mighnight walks down there...of only we knew.
