THRIFTY BY NAME, SHIFTY BY NATURE, CON MEN, DO NOT USE ! I was given a hire car from this company whilst my vehicle was being repaired as I was in a no fault accident. The hire car was dropped off at my home address when I wasn't present, I kept the hire car for 3 days and returned it in exactly the same condition that it was delivered to me in. The paintwork on one of the wheel arches was discoloured, upon returning the hire car to Thrifty they tried making out that I have done this damage to the vehicle which is a blatant lie and I intend fighting this corrupt company through the courts in order to clear my name, I could of even have kept the hire car for a further week but I decided to return it to Thrifty at the earliest possible opportunity to ensure that no harm came to the vehicle and for peace of mind on my part. I cannot stress enough...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE DEFINITELY ONE TO BE AVOIDED.

Do not use this company. One week ago I called in to see if I can hire van for a day took my details and sent me email to confirm. I called in the day before to check everything OK. On the day of the pick up I arrived at 830 they checked all details and tried to take payment from my card after half hour they said their payment system down so can't take payment. I then offered to pay cash they said can't take cash and don't have card machine.. So they said can't have the van . I took day off today to pick my son up from university all his stuff packed away ready. I spent the next 3 hours trying to hire van .

Fantastic service! I booked a fiesta and got a free upgrade to a BMW. Alex, the lady on reception, was lovely. She couldn't do enough for me. The car was clean and great to drive. My deposit was back in my account within 24 hours

Poor communication form this company. Prior to receiving vehicle I was told I will be kept up to date with the vehicle which wasn't the case. Initially did not get a like for like from 3 litre to a 1.6 ( BECAUSE THE VEHICLE SUFFERED A TYRE PUNCTURE ON THE WAY ALREADY KNEW A EXCUSE WAS COMING UP) After arguing a couple of days later received a different vehicle not clean from inside even due to covid. Upon returning the car I was told a member of staff would meet me at 3pm. After waiting past 3pm and making around 50 calls I had to leave the keys with BMW. very poor service! Especially from the woman sourcing the vehicle out could potentially do with a customer service refresher course and no skills in the CUSTOMER SERVICR department. If you want a peaceful hire I definitely would not recommend thrifty bolton.

I had a hassle free experience at their Raikes Lane Depot. Covid 19 precautions were followed as per guidelines and the vehicle I was given was brand new with only 65 miles on the clock.
