Been coming here for about 8 years now and it’s honestly transformed me into such a confident actor. When I first came I was really shy and never believed I could become an actor but Threshold changed that and gave me all the skills and lessons I needed to be able to confidently move forward in the acting industry. Staff are always super kind and the summer and winter shows we often put on are incredible! Had the best 8 years and I highly recommend Threshold to anyone who wants to become an actor in the future!

What can I say? Thank you for all the reviews. We love running Threshold and hope that during and after the Covid pandemic we will be able to continue teaching classes at our home base on Handen Road. Threshold does not belong to me but to all of the children and young people who attend and have attended our classes over the years. We are grateful and appreciative to the many families who have attended our classes, some for over 13 years since we first opened our doors.

I highly recommend Threshold Theater. It's family run, so I know that my children are known and nurtured. Each term I see them growing in confidence and they always come out of class smiling. Both Steve and Marianne are excellent at encouraging and coaching the kids, especially with any before show nerves. Their productions are a fantastic watch; witty, intelligent and full of talent. We started when my two boys were young and they love it.

Currently a student at threshold theatre arts and I really can't recommend it enough! It's a great way to have fun and express yourself through Drama and I've made such a close group of friends whilst there. Moreover, Steve and Marianne are amazing and, with their help, I had managed to secure an amazing LAMDA grade at a high level. The LAMDA class is really great and so is the acting class which takes place earlier, wholly helping me with my GCSE acting skills, not to mention that you can really make the most out of these classes, with me using my LAMDA to boost my applications to sixth forms, helping to complete my Duke of Edinburgh and many other awards including Pixl Edge, Arts Award etc. However, this is only a side benefit, with the classes be magical and fun and helping me develop my skills. Both the staff and students are so friendly, welcoming and even from the first class I knew I had made great friends!

TTA gave me some of the best years of my life and having attended for around five years I can honestly not think of a bad word. The atmosphere is supportive and highly trained LAMDA staff encourage the students to work to their full potential!

Steve and Marianne go out of their way to support and encourage the young people who attend Threshold Theatre Arts. My son has been attending for 2.5 years and I have watched him gain great confidence and skill through their teaching. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to everyone; indeed, I have already done so! Cathy

This place is a total scam. Money is taken for 0 valuable coaching or tuition. During my time here as a child, I was harassed completely inappropriately and had an entire term of tuition taken and not refunded even after the completely inappropriate actions of this company. This is not a licensed LAMDA coach either. Save your children and your money from this disgusting place! It’s a shame that the this business has resorted to fake reviews from friends and family to boost the overall score of this place. The facts are - low quality teaching, the LAMDA teacher is NOT certified, zero one to one coaching, aggressive and unsafe atmosphere, parental concerns completely ignored, the staff bully the children and parents and continue to do so years later.

As a parent of one of the pupils who has attended and still attends Threshold for over 12 years I can wholeheartedly say what brilliant drama group it is and what amazing teachers Steve & Marrianne are. They encourage the pupils to full fill their dreams in acting and theatre work. The unique plays that they put on twice a year are absolutely amazing as the children work so very hard giving it their all. So many of the pupils have fulfilled their acting dreams thanks to Steve’s direction and encouragement. This drama club is amazing giving pupils the opportunity to work towards and get amazing results in Lamda. I highly recommend this drama group
