I worked for the company for 3 years and I must admit the first year was ok, although I was not informed on interview that verbal and physical assaults where common. I was also not informed that personal cares where required with virtually all the female patients as well as hoist use with no manual handling training. Going into year 2 and 3 things begun to become obvious such as gossiping and vicious rumours being passed around by staff on all wards, these to my shock where started and mainly spread by the elderly maintenance staff and who openly passed this onto a manager who was administering medication at the time. This same staff group would also make sexual comments to young female care staff that I heard myself on the wards and in front of patients. I myself suffered 2 significant injuries while on duty yet was offered no support and even had the blame suggested at myself in front of a union representative. Patients are allowed out even if they have displayed behaviour that suggests there very unwell and this is left for the escorting staff member to deal with normally while in a public place, if your lazy, have no care towards others and love gossiping this is certainly the role for you, everyone else I would check other reviews before applying for a role here,
