  DO NOT RIDE HERE! The staff are rude and terrible at teaching. The horses are poorly taken care of and overworked! I've never seen a pony in such as bad state in all my time riding. I was humiliated and made a mockery of by the so called "professionals". COME HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

  Sadly not sure exactly how many qualified instructors there are, looks like a lot of volunteers and young teenagers, not sure how much my daughter is learning as seems understaffed, busy, a little chaotic, or how much instruction or techniques are being taught, feels more like just sitting on a back of a horse following others. I was hoping for a good teaching service. Disappointed. Also Owner is rather scratchy to say the least!

  I wish I had read the reviews before booking my daughter at this riding school. Lesson learnt. Our daughter, who has only had two previous riding lessons (her other riding school had no availability until Dec) was upon arrival, left to her own devices to find a suitable hat from the disorganised pile and randomly sized headgear. When she couldn't do up a buckle on her hat (bearing in mind she has a developmental co-ordination disorder aka dyspraxia), she was told that she should listen otherwise she will never get on with horse riding and she has to learn to problem solve (she was simply struggling a tricky buckle?). So this is within the first few minutes of meeting us, which we did not understand the relevance of. When her horse arrived it took us by surprise as it was so much larger than the horse at the other riding school. I did question this. Despite providing the same height and weight details, the difference in horse size was significantly different and alarming. Ahead of time I sent the owner of the school a simple guide produced by a national charity, written specifically for horse riding instructors, briefly outlining helpful points on teaching someone with dyspraxia. Receipt of this was acknowledged by the owner, stating that they are inclusive (really? I beg to differ) and that it would be passed on to all instructors but that they were not specially trained to deal with physical and mental disabilities. The guide is not in any way rocket science and does not need any special training to be undertaken to understand it. It is written in plain English. When the lesson started I could see immediately that all was not right. Right from the beginning the instructor had negative body language, seemed very disinterested and unenthusiastic, gave vague, confusing instructions and even rolled her eyes a couple of times when our daughter didn't understand what she was saying. Could anyone in their right mind think that this is a perfectly acceptable way to behave when you are teaching someone...in any capacity? We were so disappointed, particularly having experienced the complete opposite in the other riding school. Their instructors are professional, enthusiastic, make the lessons interesting and fun have fully taken on board our request. I had to interrupt the lesson and ask the instructor if she had received the guide that I had emailed through, and unfortunately she gave me a shrug and said she knew nothing about it. I then gave a quick, on-the-spot brief explanation of what was required, which was far from ideal. After this the lesson did not improve in the least and our daughter just wanted it to finish as soon as possible. I asked the lady in charge why the information had not been passed on as confirmed, and she said it was up to us to let them know this information on arrival (we were never informed of this) and proceeded to show me a sheet of paper with details of the lesson. I did not need to be shown their admin procedures or paperwork, which is meaningless to me - I was there to watch my daughter have a good quality lesson, from a competent instructor who is enthusiastic and enjoys her job. We will absolutely never, ever go this riding school again. This was our first and our last visit and I would not recommend it to anyone. 3Greys - please sit up and take notice and do your best to learn what is meant by good customer service and a good standard of teaching, because it is truly lacking.

  First time out hacking after a few years off and had a great experience. Easy booking system, well looked after horses and although the yard was very busy, it was well organised.

  Decent place but run by rude people. Booked for my daughter wich has been their client for the last 2 years for an hack starting at 2:30, arrived there at 2:15 and they were already gone. I explained politely the situation to the owner, wich didn’t even apologies, just rudely said they went because all the people were there before. I told her my daughter was booked in as usual… why they couldn’t go at 2:30 and wait for her, even if she was anyway there by 2:20!! So 10 minutes earlier anyway!!! She never apologised to me and she wanted to point out she was right! 😱🤯!Anyway never go there anymore! 👍
