Superb course with ( if you are lucky ) chequered cut fairways ! At certain times of the year making the occasion even more special . Number 96 in the top 100 courses in England and the ONLY one in Essex at the last time of publishing , this is truly a stand out course . The tee shot on the third is something to behold across the lake but you can take as much off of the distance to the green as you dare ! Stunning views and lovely club house but the only down mark is the price . Which leads me to believe , us non members are put up with but not really wanted

Had a society day on Friday 4th Nov 22, fantastic day, double helping of bacon rolls to start, course fabulous despite the rain leading up to the day, weather on the day was perfect. Food after was great and the staff were absolutely brilliant, the ladies in the bar and restaurant couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. would recommend and hope they allow us to come back next year. Well done Thorndon Park.
