    Visited York for the day and was visting Flamingo Land the next. We would this place to be about halfway between both and a much better price than York city centre. A very nice ,cozy B&B with a great little pub on the ground level. We had a great time playing darts, having a few cheap drinks, and talking some of the locals. Breakfast was delicious, highly reccomended. Food & drinks: drinks are very, very fairly priced!

    Brilliant find! We stayed one night whilst attending a wedding at Sandburn Hall and we had a great stay! The owner, Stuart, was really helpful and made our trip seamless, right from checking in, to getting to and from the wedding venue which was a huge help! We stayed in one of the cottages which was cosy, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We had breakfast in the pub the following morning and it was fantastic! Great value and delicious food. We would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you Stuart!

    A fantastic stay at the Thompson Arms. The owners Lili and Stuart could not be more helpful and made our stay a perfect one! The cottage was perfect and clean and very cosy. We wanted to stay longer! Breakfast was amazing and everything was set up and ready for us coming in the morning. Everything you could ask for! We will definitely be returning! Thank you to you both! Rooms: Lovely rooms! Big and spacious and kept so clean with everything you need.
