Alistair recently completed the renovation of 3 items of great sentimental value following the death of my mother. The Bureau, carved coffee table and needlework box have all been restored to the highest standard, The bureau in particular (with new leather inlay) is exceptional but all 3 are now lovely pieces in their own right again. Response and service at every stage was prompt, professional and Alistair is a very genuine individual. No easy task to deliver service standards under the circumstances we've all endured in 2020. I have no hesitation in recommending (in fact I already have!)

We approached Alastair Thomas about doing some restorative work on our American walnut dining table and sideboard which had a very damaged fascia as well as our coffee table and a mahogany stand. What a lovely man who was professional at all times. We did not have to wait too long for all the work to be completed and apart from a few initial problems with the sideboard, the work on all the pieces was completed to a high quality. Thomas Furniture Restoration comes very highly recommended!

Having suffered a house fire our long case Grandmother clock was taken into storage and was returned in a sorry state to say the least. All 3 of the front door hinges and the surrounding wood were badly damaged and the clock case itself had suffered badly from damp, leaving it mouldy and discoloured. We sent the clock workings to a horologist and the case to Alastair Thomas. Mr Thomas is undoubtedly a very talented and professional restorer, he returned the clock case to us looking like new having bought the condition of the case to an excellent polished glow and the hinge repairs are perfect, we couldn't tell it had been damaged at all. So thank you very much Thomas Furniture Restoration for an outstanding piece of workmanship.
