    Although the hotel is in a great location, it definitely isn’t four star. The rooms are dated. Carpet in my room was stained. Peeling paint in places. The bathroom was looking a bit rough. The shower door wouldn’t close fully so I had to hold it closed with my foot so the bathroom wouldn’t flood. No tissues or heated towel rail in my bathroom but my sister had them in hers. The air conditioning in this hotel doesn’t work properly. My room was so uncomfortably hot even though it was set on cold and 16 degrees. My sisters room was uncomfortably cold. It took three days to get someone up to look at my thermostat to see if it was working but I was told it was set right and was blowing out cold air but clearly there was an issue with it. I was given two fans to help cool the room, and was offered a different room on day two but by then I had unpacked and had just had a very long busy day and didn’t have the energy to repackage my bags. So I soldiered on with two fans going at full speed the whole time I was there. Reception staff were good at times and adequate at other times. The night maid was very grumpy and rude when she was sent up to help with the air con and walked off when I was trying to explain the problem. Breakfast was good and the restaurant looked nice. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant. Room service menus looked good. I would say the best thing in favour of this hotel is the great location.

    Clean, great location, but very few amenities. No ice, no bell service, under street construction for the next year so getting to and from in a vehicle is tough but not impossible. Rooms: Good size room, very clean, simple, and quiet at night.

    The location is unbeatable, but the amenities leave sonething to be desired. The maintenance level is not perfect. For example: the shower controls had cracks, the safe in the room did not work, and the tv control was broken. The breakfast buffet is basic, not that tasty, but functional. The staff is super friendly.
