Lynden is an incredibly skilled guitarist who can switch between genres effortlessly, a true artist. As a complete beginner I bought a how to play the guitar in 7 days book, that lasted about 5 minutes and I was bored and disheartened. So after Googling guitar teachers in Harborne I found thisisguitar and it was the best decision ever! Lynden is an incredible teacher, he has endless patience (needs it with me!) and manages to target the lessons perfectly with enough exercises plus fun. Lynden teaches both my 14 year old daughter guitar and my 12 year old son bass. Not only does he have fantastic knowledge of music, he's able to get the best out of two kids with very different personalities and strengths. They've both come on hugely with his teaching with lessons that are fun but also stretch them. Brilliant!

Lynden is a very skilled guitarist who plays many styles really well. He has an unbelievable grasp of theory as well. But for someone wanting to learn guitar it’s probably more important to know that he is also a great teacher! He takes you at the speed you want to go, allows you to choose what you want to learn (although he has sage advice on what makes sense), has great exercises to do and isn’t judgemental about your performance while really helping with what needs to improve. He is easy to get on with and endlessly patient. Check him out!!

Been coming to Lynden for lessons for over a year and by far, he is the best guitar teacher I have ever had. His knowledge of the instrument and music theory is second to none. Whatever you want to learn or improve on he can do it. I have progressed so much under his guidance. I would recommend Lynden to anyone regardless of how long you have been playing the guitar. I always look forward to my lessons and come away having learnt so much every time! Lynden has really helped me get out of a rut in my playing and is also a very great guy. Lynden has been teaching my son electric guitar for the past 3 months or so. Theo (8) was at ease with him from the word go. They have lots of laughs and still manage to learn to play. Lynden is happy to teach the sort of music (rock) that Theo likes so he’s always keen to go! He even practices with the odd gentle reminder. Lynden has plenty of patience and plenty of inspirational guitar skills to help hold the limited attention of an 8 year old!
