Right beside a main road. Shower block and toilets OK. Great for walking around reservoir and great pub right next door.

Stayed here with my touring caravan for a few days. Great little site with all the basic amenities you need. Showers were lovely and clean and hot and being a lone female camper the security keypad access on the door was reassuring. Pitches are level with hookup and water. Great value for money and will return. Freindly, helpful and advised on bus times etc. Easy reach to Keswick/Grasmere/Ambleside plus the lake is literally on your doorstep

We have just returned from a lovely four night stay here. Yes basic facilities but has all you require. Owners very accommodating. Great location for walking and touring. No phone or wifi signal, not always a bad thing! Pub next door serving nice choice of food and drinks. Bus stop at bottom of site which can take you to Keswick, Windermere, Kendal, Grasmere & Ambleside. Will be returning

Very basic site. No phone, internet or TV signal which is ok if not wanting that. Good views of the surrounding hills. The main big downside was the road noise. Lot of bikers using this road as a race track and can hear them coming from miles away. I am into bikes but did not want to be at track day when just chilling. There is a Bus Stop just outside with a regular service to Keswick and Ambleside although slightly on the expensive side. Toilets where clean and the farmer was very friendly and helpful. Booked for 4 days but moved on after 2.

Nothing more than a noisy lay by with very limited and filthy facilities! It’s grim!!! The farmer had the vans tightly parked together in his ‘lay by’ and when asked, refused to open his field up to allow a more comfortable pitch. Amongst the sheer beauty of the Lake District, this is an absolutely disgusting place. We didn’t even end up staying a night it’s so awful!

A fantastic - but basic - campsite! Would absolutely recommend. Great value for money. A wonderful location and close to everything we planned to do. We stayed for 3 nights in our van, with a side awning, with our dog. We had access to toilets, showers, washing up and rubbish facilities. The Farmer was brilliant. Really welcoming and happy to stop and have a chat about the local area and where we had been that day etc. Its a very peaceful location and I wouldn’t let the fact that it’s by a main road put you off! As we headed into the evening any noise dissipated and we were just surrounded by sheep, mountains and the sound of the nearby stream. It was perfect. We will return there on our next visit!

(Translated by Google) Everything was fine, but at £28 for one night we found it very expensive. (Original) Alles prima, allerdings mit 28£ für eine Übernachtung fanden wir es sehr teuer.
