The worst experience ever in a hotel. They entered my room while I’m sleeping 4 times. They don’t understand the meaning of hospitality. They are not polite. I told them once that I’ll pay the extended time. They refused. They want me to jump out of my bed to pay immediately. And they don’t call you!! They just enter your room causally. They are not safe at all !

There was a false fire alarm during my stay. It happened during the night around 3 am and it made me feel so anxious and panic. It was impossible for me to go back to sleep and no one said anything upon check out. No explanation or apology. I’ve submitted a complaint and no one has responded. Such a shame because we loved the hotel and this was my second time here. I thought about coming back but this false alarm really put me off.

Pros: Clean rooms, kind staff, complementary cheese and wine for the members. Also next to the subway, pretty central location and very nice neighbourhood. Cons: the bathroom inside the rooms is entirely made of frosted glass, leaving no privacy and no sound isolation. If your room is in the lower ground floor (a fancy way to say basement floor) the whole room shakes because of the subway. No wardrobe in the rooms. The bed was quite uncomfortable.

Better than an Airbnb! If you’re looking for an affordable stay in London this is it. Neat, well taken care of rooms without any frills. The lights in the bathroom are a little weird and the plug in the walls are in odd spaces. But overall satisfied with my stay. You’re not getting anything fancy but it’s to be expected with the price. I just wanted a nice, quiet space to sleep at night while in London and this place delivered.

The room is essentially a bed in terms of size so you aren't going to be spending much time in it. It was one of the smallest hotel rooms I've ever been in. I would have liked to see a bit better service, as it is something unlike room size that can be managed and a chance to delight. All in all you pick the Z for a reasonable rate for location. It's a place to sleep that's clean and my room was quiet.

Pretty awful. Absolutely not worth the money I paid (145) for a tiny room in the basement with noise from the tubes, noisy aircon and too hot and stuffy as the temperature cannot be set to less than 18. The staff are nice, Old Street is a cesspit. There are a lot of hotels round here that are nicer and cheaper - a shame as this sounded good but the reality is very different from the hype. Avoid. I wish I'd read these reviews before I booked.
