Visited here on a two day break in York. Decent pub, reasonable prices. Friendly staff. They sometimes have outdoor seating area, which is table service - very nice. They don't do food, but there are numerous bakers/shops nearby, so we bought a baguette from one & ate it at our table.

We visit here quite often as it's our nans fave pub! Saturday evenings are very cramped, but the atmosphere is great. We went for a couple of drinks in here on a Tuesday, and it was quiet, but pleasant. Staff are lovely, too!
