Thinking that there would be ball pits as it’s a soft play, I decided to take my 4 year old severely autistic daughter on a visit during half term. They tell you to book online, £5 per person including adults which is a bit cheeky to be honest. They also don’t let you cancel for a refund unless it’s 8 hours in advance which is also very cheeky. We had to miss the booked session due to my daughter not feeling well, but booked the following morning. Before even walking through the door I had spent £20 just to get in. We were met by a miserable member of staff who didn’t look like she wanted to work there at all. My daughter can’t walk far unaided so she was in her mobility pushchair, there was no room to park it and get her out. While I was getting her out other parents were stood waiting to get by because it’s a cramped area, I had specifically chosen an empty table to sit at while I got my daughter out, yet these parents thought they were entitled enough to ask me to move. Luckily I wasn’t going to sit for long so once my daughter was out and had run off I left the seating area and had to park the pushchair at the back of the building. There were no ball pits, it was all climbing facilities apart from some odd blue sponge area at the front. My daughter was more interested in the easily accessible fridges which she helped herself to (we had already had lunch before we arrived). I brought her a fruit shoot and a box of raisins which came to a total of almost £3 which was also over priced. As she’s severely autistic and non verbal, it’s difficult for her to understand why she can’t do certain things and had a meltdown because I tried to explain why she can’t stay in the fridge. Having a fridge full of food and drink with low handles for the children to help themselves to is simply a profitable move and while we’re all in this cost of living crisis, it’s again: cheeky. The other parents decided to watch the meltdown and make snide comments but they also agreed about the fridge issue. We probably spent a total of 20 minutes maximum there, my daughter wouldn’t calm down so we left. £23 wasted on a terrible experience. Would not recommend for SEN or children with disabilities.

We visited recently on a short trip to Stamford. The booking process was very simple. The play facilities were very clean and our boy had a lot of fun. It's not the biggest soft play, but there was still plenty to explore. The food and drink (especially the game and cheese toasted sandwich) was delicious. We'd definitely visit again next time we're up this way.
