I have been a member of the Y Club for ten years and have found the staff friendly and helpful, the facilities excellent and the other members wonderful. It's like one big family and I have made many new friendships there. The classes are excellent and a special shout out to Reece, Harry & the other staff.

Horrible place, discriminates against young people and staff refuse to let us in even though I was with a 16 year old

I have been a member since 2013 and csn say that it is the best gym in Manchester without doubt. The excellent staff and friendly members make it so special and I am so lucky to be able to regularly use it. The facilities are very good. This isn't just a gym but my extended family.

The y club is definitely a gym you should visit, proper hidden gem! I’ve been there a few times on a guest pass and the faculties are class. The staff and members are all really friendly so it’s a much nicer vibe than the chain gyms. The facilities are big, clean, and have plenty of equipment. I’ve been telling my basketball friends to come down as the court is the best in the city centre. Finally a sports hall that isn’t dusty and slippery!

Nice but too many people are fragile and complain about the boxing room being used during hall sessions.

Y club is perhaps the best value for money in the city centre. A wide range of classes and sports, along with an over-equipped gym and a very popular swimming pool and sauna/steam make for a very popular y club. Even better, the regular users are open and friendly and the staff take good care of everyone. The only downside is that because of the amount of machines crammed into the gym and the busy evening schedule of classes, there is no place for proper stretching and bodyweight workouts, or for people to do dancing or martial arts in their own time and space.
