Food was first class. My partner is a chef, no complaints from him either. We eat out regularly and will let staff know if we feel there are issues. This pub has had an extensive refurbishment (it needed it) and has been finished to a very high standard. The food is very good but the service a tad slow but not a deal breaker. There is a wine list that can't be bettered. They are still feeling their way into the trade but once the spring/summer arrives it should be a buzzy go to place. A good pub is what the village desperately needs.

Took my mum for a birthday lunch and we were not disappointed. We were seated promptly and our server Destiny was very attentive. As a party of 4 all of our meals arrived together. Ample portions, and looking delicious. Personally I had the Sunday dinner of lamb shank and the lamb was cooked to perfection. Lovely selection of seasonal vegetables and the yourshire pudding was perfect. All in all a very good experience and we will definitely be visiting again soon. Kid-friendliness: We were given a children's woodfalls activity book, a great selection of puzzles and colouring and a glass of pencils all sharpened
