I cannot recommend The Wise Hippo birthing programme enough! Sheila our teacher was absolutely amazing even during the tough Covid times when face to face had to stop. She made our Zoom calls so relaxing and I still felt they were so beneficial to us. My partner particularly found the classes helpful. With being our first baby and my Labour being very fast!! I still had time to implement all the techniques were learnt and managed to get through labour with one paracetamol! Quite amazing. With Covid rules still in place, my partner was not allowed to see us again until I left hospital one week later, it was very daunting but I used my relaxation techniques and calming music from the app to help us through. A brilliant programme that maybe one day we will get to use again!!

I had THE MOST amazing labour which I loved - so much so I went from being petrified of giving birth (which had put me off getting pregnant until my late 30s) to wishing I'd been taught this at school and been popping the babies out all my life! I can't tell you enough how amazing this method is to help you to trust your body, your pregnancy, to feel safe, and seriously I laughed so much during my amazing labour with my son, it was a truly life changing experience. I've never felt so powerful in my life, and everyone thought I was nuts for enjoying the labour but I tell you - fabulous. So good I became a coach for it too!

Can not recommend this program enough !! It was the best thing I think I have ever done. After quite a dramatic and scary birth with my first baby, I then did the wise hippo for my second and third. My teacher Hannah Gent at positive mama project was absolutely incredible, so kind and patient and thorough and she really empowered me. I had two wonderful births and I will never be able to thank her enough. Loved every minute and was so calm and relaxed ! It definitely doesn’t need to be painful, it was beautiful !
