We worked with Tania for around 18 months on the renovation of a Grade II listed house in London and couldn’t be happier with the results! The project was not straightforward because of the complicated listed building rules and the extent of our renovation (we essentially stripped everything in the house back to the brickwork), and having Tania involved from the beginning as our interior designer and project manager was invaluable in helping the project run smoothly and to budget. We initially found Tania through her Instagram page where we really liked her style. We interviewed a lot of interior designers shortly before we completed on the house but chose Tania because her warmth, proactive problem solving attitude and passion for design really shone through at the initial meetings. No significant refurbishment project will ever run completely smoothly, but Tania dealt with every challenge efficiently and made our lives a lot easier (and reduced our stress levels!) as a result. The whole design and build project felt like a collaboration with a friend and Tania was receptive and engaging to our ideas and changes throughout the process. Unlike other friends who have felt pushed into going for the expensive “designer” option with other interior designers, we felt Tania’s focus was on what would look good and what would work for the way we wanted to use the space. In addition, Tania has a wide range of industry contacts and through that we were able to make significant savings on products using her trade discount entitlements as well as work with her selection of trusted trades people. Having a lead builder who Tania trusted and who she had worked with for many years was a real bonus and many friends have commented on the quality of the finished product. In summary, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tania and The White Interior studio to our friends and use them for our future projects, from room/small space redesign to the most complex whole home renovations.
