Such a lovely experience at The Whippet Inn. We'd heard about their exceptional Sunday roast, but hadn't accounted for the fact that we were dining too late to order from the roast menu, which ends at 16:30. We debated leaving in search of the roast we desired, but decided to stay for the sake of ease. I'm so glad we did! From the friendly and helpful service (thanks Heather!) to the nice environment, delicious food and great wine selection, we had a real treat of a dining experience! I ordered the chicken supreme and my partner the T-bone steak, both of which were delightful. We were actively encouraged to sample the wines before settling on the very tasty Scruffy's Shiraz. And don't get me started on the banoffee bread and butter pudding - divine! Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to eat in York. Very much looking forward to our next visit!
