  This hotel is a tourist trap!! While it advertises itself as a four stars luxury hotel, it’s nothing close to luxury or four stars. I have absolutely no idea where they got the four stars from. We paid almost USD900 for two nights at its Deluxe Suite over the coronation weekend via Agoda expecting it to be a nice room with all the very good reviews posted online and the premium that we’ve paid. When we arrived at the hotel around 10pm on the Friday night, the reception area seems to be nice and decent with reasonably helpful staffs. However, when we went up to our room and opened the door, a very strong horrible sickening smell hit us immediately. We initially thought it might be the cooking smell from the prior guest so we reported this to the reception. The hotel staff came around with air refresher some time later saying it was cooking smell which should go away after the spray. The smell did disappear for a brief while but came back. It never went away during our entire stay even we had windows opened and had the room sprayed. I even made coffee out of the coffee machine just to cover the smell briefly. Obviously there are serious issues with their sewage/pipes/ventilation. The hotel is very well aware of the problem as the staffs weren’t surprised at all when we complained multiple times. Apart from the horrible smell, the room was very rundown and outdated. The towels are old and there are dirt marks everywhere on the wall. There is rust on the mirror in the toilet, moulds in the shower wall, curtain was broken, hair left on the pillow after room clean up. It was just unbelievable for a hotel that calls itself and charged as a four stars luxury hotel. Some other guests we spoke to in the lift also shared the same experience and we even saw a couple moved across to the hotel opposite the street. I would urge everyone to stay away from this hotel and don’t be deceived by their fake 4/5 star reviews or how the reception looked. Having seen how the hotel manager had responded to bad online reviews in the past, I would not be surprised if they say this is bad campaign against them, quoting good reviews from other guests (which they have probably paid someone to write), questioning why we stayed in the same room if it smelled bad etc.. so these are the pics I have taken of the so called Deluxe Suites that they charged us for USD450 a night. You can decide if this is a bad campaign made up against the hotel for no reason cos I have nothing else better to do. I am extremely disappointed with this hotel. By sharing our experience, I hope that fewer people will fall for their traps in the future.

  Great location with two tube stations within walking distance ( Paddington and Lancaster Gate). A residential neighborhood. An entrance to hyde park can be found a block away. The hotel provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. Molton brown toiletries and a nespresso machine with a daily refill of capsules, still water and tea bags.We stayed on the fifth floor and it was really quiet enabling us to rest and recover after many hours of walking around London. The staff were really nice and when we notified them of a broken kettle switch, they immediately replaced it. Can’t wait to return !
