Stayed here over the bank holiday on the ‘muddy paws package’. Reasonably priced but disappointing. Firstly my room was loud and very dark, disappointed the TV’s weren’t smart. Very steep metal stairs heading up to the room. Wouldn’t be good for elderly we really struggled with our dog and had to carry him up and down. The biggest let down was our evening meal and breakfast. The service took ages. Over an hour to wait for two burgers, The breakfast wasn’t far short. This hotel and pub has so much potential. The surroundings are beautiful but really needs better management and more attentive service.

Our room was clean and comfortable & had everything we need but unfortunately the here was a roof directly outside the wi doe blocking half of the amazing view . We had a salmon burger which was dry , hard and tasteless . I had a lamb chop which was well cooked but it tasted and looked like the the sauce was out of a tin . The new potatoes were clearly re heated . Unfortunately we won’t be returning
