  Had my first bridal dress shopping experience today at The Wedding Club in the Mailbox, Birmingham. Sophia made me and my Mum feel really welcome with a glass of Prosecco and we didn’t feel rushed at all as we looked at the dresses. During the fitting I felt really at ease and comfortable with Sophia, she pointed out details on the dresses I hadn’t noticed - she really knew a lot about each dress and pulled extra dresses out for me from the designer I was interested in. Thank you Sophia for making my first dress shop feel really special.

  Had a very disappointing bridal experience for such a high end London store. I specifically went here as it was the only stockist of the dress I wanted to try in the UK. Nothing about the initial appointment here is special, no drinks offered. The showroom was also disappointing, no proper changing rooms, simply a wooden room divider at the back of the showroom. Room looks very untidy and dresses not displayed particularly well for the pricey designers they stock. We didn’t let this detract as we had one specific dress in mind and were happy to place the order. On collection of my dress (again no special experience) we got turned away for being 10 minutes early, then felt rushed throughout the appointment and had a catastrophe with the dress itself. The dress had been ordered incorrectly. The complete wrong colourway, overskirt was not even ordered so hadn’t been delivered, and the size itself much larger than we agreed in the showroom fitting. Therefore major costly alterations will now be required (up to 3 sizes reduction in some areas) rather than a few minor tweaks. The Wedding Club are not prepared to take any responsibility, provide compensation for the incorrect dress (now resulting in hefty alterations) or even that apologetic. We are now worried if the huge alterations required are going to change the appearance of the dress itself. They do not have an in house seamstress, so we will now be sorting this ourself at our own cost. I would not recommend this company if you are looking for a special, personal experience.

  I was extremely disappointed with the service I received at the wedding club, I bought my dress at a Berta trunk show at the Kensington shop, once I had paid for the dress the quality of service dropped, there was very little to no communication, no one knowing anything about what was happening to the dress. In the end I picked it up from the Birmingham shop, they said they would contact me regarding fittings, I emailed in January knowing how bad at communication they where asking to sort out an appointment for my first fitting 10 weeks before the wedding in witch they replied they work the appointments monthly and would get back to me, luckily I didn’t wait for them and took the dress to an independent seamstress who has done a wonderful job! my wedding is in 4 weeks and still no word from the wedding club, But I didn’t expected anything more! Seriously disappointed and would recommend re thinking before buying anything from them unless you want added stress for your wedding!

  The wedding club have been absolutely fantastic so far and my journey has just begun. I had been to so many jobs to try and find my dream dress but after having a change in my body due to having a 10lbs 12 baby I gave up the search! As a result I had only 5 months to find a dress . I firstly went to the Birmingham store and had put enormous pressure on myself to find a dress that day. Unlike some of the other stores the girls told me to take my time , checked the delivery of all the designers so I didn’t fall in love with one that wouldn’t be ready on time ... told me all my options and then took it all slowly. The owner of the store was there and actually advised me to go home and think it over as she felt I was getting over whelmed and trying to hide it , which was true . I’d fallen in love with a dress at a trunk show so they arranged for me to go to London where I found my dream dress. Unfortunately my wedding was cancelled due to Covid 19. I am also frontline NHS staff so even if this has all blown over by August I wouldn’t have the capacity to go for dress fittings. I telephoned to explain the situation and they couldn’t have been more fantastic! They offered to try delay the delivery and if they couldn’t they will hold my dress for me . They also said they would give me a reduced rate on a sample dress should I want to choose a second dress due to the fact I may have to get married in private before the actual wedding or for the military part of my ceremony. They stayed in regular contact on watts app to help me find a second dress. This personal touch was very special for me at this difficult time given our situation in the NHS. I have appreciated their empathy, professionalism and friendly ear. All the dresses are spectacular buy far the best I’ve seen . The stores are so beautiful you instantly feel like a bride . Thank you team .

  Very rude, the bridesmaids dresses we ordered were way too small and apparently it was all our fault and there was nothing they could do about it. Would not recommend.

  Lovely experience, I can’t recommend this branch of TWC enough. I have been to the others and this is the best by far. Service is stellar, they are respectful, they realise you are their customer and treat everyone the same no matter the budget. They were so patient with me as I was torn between two dresses. The atmosphere and staff are so welcoming. Sam is the best! Unfortunately, I wasn’t as pleased with the seamstress because she promised to do some work on my veil but didn’t deliver as promised.
