    Been visiting the Waterside Meadery for 16years now. Never had a bad meal or experience. Staff are always happy and friendly and food is always piping hot! Think I’ve burnt my mouth on the mushrooms every time I’ve had them! Mead is always good too. Can’t wait to visit again!

    6 of us, including a 1 year old went for a meal here after being recommended it by the locals. The restaurant is pretty cramped and claustrophobic and was a nightmare to get the high chair and pram into our booth. We were led to our table which was down a small and narrow corridor. I liked the candle lit tables and blacked out windows and felt as if it was a nice feature. As for our booth, it wasn't very scenic at all and the seats were really uncomfortable. The mead was great, if you're into it and there was plenty of flavours to choose from. We all opted for the chicken and chips, which was lovely! I feel as it the place was just a bit too hyped up for us all. The lady who served us was polite and tentative and made us feel very welcomed. Would definitely go again if the option of a different seating area was available. Or I've heard the Meadery in Newlyn is better.
