Terrific range of wines. Very clear handwritten guidance labels. Very knowledgeable , enthusiastic and welcoming owner. Always a pleasure. Have never felt under pressure to buy. Interesting spirit choice. Range of local and organic beers. A real asset. As a Lambeth boy with twenty years in Birmingham my accent is a long way from BBC Oxbridge, and ten pounds my usual outlay, but never once have I felt out of place, unwelcome, or inferior.

I am not sure I wish to enter the store again. Being judged by 'my accent', and asked to step aside for the gentleman with the 'larger bottles', I think my money is better spent at The Whisky Exchange. Since my initial visit - one of 2 - had been extremely pleasant, and the support staff had been knowledgeable as well as extremely kind, I thought to get to know the owner of this store. Thanks, and never again, despite us being neighbours ... Politeness goes a long way, right?

I was searching around for a specific wine which, understandably, they didn't have. However, they were really helpful and they told me what they could import from the same region and variety. And they recommended me a Primitivo Neprica which was magnificent and also cheaper that what I was after. Very nice little shop.

A brilliant local wine shop, with Nick the proprietor knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the right bottle. Lots of lovely surprises, wine tasting afternoons, great beers and spirits too. Can’t rate it highly enough!
