My experience with ULaw is definitely one of the disheartening deprecating jokes I tell anyone when they ask me about my experiences at this university. One of the main issues with this institution is the lack of diversity, unknowingly doing research of my own while beginning the GDL BPP and ULaw were one of the only considerations in my pool. Being as it may, I went with ULaw due to them seemingly being extremely proactive and advocating for international students as such that caught my eye seeing as I am caribbean and have never been in the UK before. I do believe in institutions being inclusive and I take a particular schools ethnic demographic seriously as it depends on my comfortability for making friends and study groups. Upon arrival, 1) I was the only black international student in my class, despite the fact I tried to make friends I was still met with racial statements from my classmates.. 2) YES, I did email my tutor and whomever else making them aware of my uncomfortable position and asked that they moved me to a class with more international students. 3) I was then told by such tutors that due to the fact the racial slurs happened off school premises that was not enough for me to switch groups. Issue 4) Seemingly upon arrival the university was ready to send my right back to my country, due to a lack of their incapable administration who deals with the VISA team. Issue 1) I have never in my life ever encountered racism towards me.. nor have I ever been in a class room where I was the only black student. I came into ULaw thinking there would be diversity and friendly faces.. Issue 2) The tutors and teachers are equally extremely incompetent as they always reply days - weeks late, or doesn’t reply at all. They give extremely vague replies and overall not interested in the students. Issue 3) understandably they could not do as much due to the fact that this has happened off school campus, but either way if a student is bringing and issue such as racism - one would think switching classes would be one of utmost importance. Issue 4) I do not know what I would have done as I paid and secured nearly £20,000 dollars worth of accommodation knowing that during correspondence with the university they advised me all my paperwork was up to standard. To reaching there and being sent back home due to their incompetent VISA team, issuing too many CAS numbers. I would never recommend this university to any of my friends, families nor associates.. not even my enemies. I am now currently at BPP and have never been happier, the process was so much simpler.

I've transferred to the Moorgate campus in January 2023. Modern building in the heart of the city. The library has 3 floors, I believe. The quiet area is actually quiet. The only and only downside is that it closes at 10pm, whereas the Bloomsbury Campus closes at midnight.

All I remember from this place is negative memories. Absolutely terrible customer service. Spoke to a woman from the assessments department named Sharania and she was absolutely no help towards me when I was trying to find out about my results. She was very rude and patronising towards me. Pathetic.
