Absolutely fantastic place! Catherine and Phil are wonderful, attentive, and interesting hosts, with three calm and friendly dogs. The setting is lovely, beside a stream, with a bunch of quirky out-buildings and gardens, and even some chickens! Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. Continental, full English, it's all there. And yes, the eggs are from down the garden! Highly recommended to stay if you're anywhere near the area.

The most loveliest people!!!! This B&B has been one of the best I have ever stayed at. Catherine and Phil are AMAZING. They don't just provide you with bed & breakfast, but looks after your physical, psychological and emotional needs. During my stay both Phil & Catherine were so helpful to me and the business. My knowledge of Newport/ Saffron Walden was simplified because of their help and support. This can only be done by people with an extreme large heart and a heart of gold! Thank you very much and be rest assured this is not going to be the last time you will see me here.

My mum stayed here while she had to work in Newport and I’m so happy she chose here. They where nothing less than amazing. As my mum was new to the area, they helped her get around and were so patient and accommodating. I could sit here and write for hours of all the reasons you should stay here; but it still wouldn’t do it justice. With the way the world is nowadays , I’m never fully Comfortable about the safety of me or my family. But I felt fine with my mum being here and how they make you feel like a part of their household. It’s sooo amazing . Just book here and you also will be amazed at the hospitality. Thank you so much Phil & Catherine . Xxxxx

We travelled here for the weekend to go a couple of concerts at Audley House, what we got from Catherine and Phil was incredible. This is way, way more than your average B&B! Catherine and Phil are such wonderful people, nothing was too much trouble. The annexe was great, it was very comfortable and in a lovely setting. The breakfast was fantastic, made even better with the bonus of our daughter collecting eggs from their own chickens, you can’t get much fresher than that! A short walk away is a shop, chemist and pub. You two made our weekend even more memorable, thank you so much for everything.x
