Good range of beers, friendly efficient staff and and a generally friendly atmosphere (a good eclectic range of people). Also, there were no children/babies in pub...hooray!!! ( I think I might open my own pub one day to specically make it child unfriendly). I only gave it 3 stars because some of it really needs refurbishment or a very deep clean, especially at the back seating area. It has recently been taken over, so hopefully, the new owners have plans to do this. When we went, there was a DJ playing. Although the music was good, it was too loud for the size of the pub. I never see the point of a DJ in a pub. They take up room and are always too loud. You may as well just make a good 'mixtape' or Spotify playlist. But that's just a personal moan on my part. Certainly, The Toad in Hole has the potential to be an excellent pub. I can definitely see me going there more often. It just needs a bit more investment at the mo.

Only popped in here for a drink on 1 occasion. There was a Greek food stall outside which was arranged by the pub. The landlady I believe served me and as it was our first time she let my partner try a little sample of their version of Guinness. Produced locally in a brewery. Didn't experience here for long as we were on a walk. Would go back though!

Nice range of Hand beers, I shared a bottle of the BA version of Staggering in the Dark, and that was glorious. The singluar bar staff could have had a hand as she appeared rushed and a little disinterested.
