I have visited and eaten here a number of times and the food, service and cost are always good. however this time was sullied by a highly inappropriate and offensive comment made by a man who sat with staff at the bar. If you eat the great pub grub here ask for a table away from the bar.

A lovely pub with a warm welcome. We had a really good meal. Our food was freshly prepared, the portions were generous and good value. There is a children’s menu available and the portion sizes are similarly generous. There’s a reasonable selection of real ales and the pint I had was well kept. There is a good sized children’s play area in the large garden. Highly recommended for those travelling on the M11, it’s 5 minutes off the motorway, with much more tasty food and far better value than a service station.
