Very nice food and friendly staff, unfortunately on this occasion let down by incredibly slow service. An hour waiting for Sunday lunch off an appropriate (but limited) Sunday menu is 30 mins too long. Food & drinks: Have been twice now and it would be our “go to pub in the Forest for Sunday lunch” but they seem under-resourced for the covers they are taking during this busy period. Real shame as food very good.

Delicious food but yet again very poor service. We waited over half an hour for our starter and longer for our main course. The staff need better training and an efficient restaurant manager to oversee the smooth running of the dining room during service. There was no one apparent to be seen taking charge. Such a disappointment. We were not the only table complaining and asking when we would be served with our order.
