Went for Sunday lunch, very disappointed with the roast all round and in particular the beef. The slices were far too thick with a lot of fat and gristle. Had to ask for horseradish 3 times and it came 10 minutes after the food. Unfortunately the staff were not attentive and really didn’t seem interested in the customers.

Absolutely lovely old pub, walkable from our holiday cottage. Wonderful atmosphere, and great service…. but the food was exceptional. I can’t remember when I enjoyed a meal more. Would definitely recommend.

A great, dog friendly pub in an idyllic setting. With such an excellent choice of food, it was difficult to select what to eat. So, we visited twice and I had two different light bites on one visit. The food was delicious and it's easy to see why they've won so many awards. We were lucky to get a seat, so I'd recommend booking.

Excellent food, good beer all tied up in a proper old fashioned pub. One bar has no taps and the beer is in barrels behind it, Absolutely Marvellous Food & drinks: Great food and good beer.
