We holiday up the road twice a year at least and our 1st stop is The Tasty Cheese Shop...the owner is a real cheeky chap and a good sport (always has a tale to tell). But we go for the ECCLES gorgeous and the parkin, weve tried various pies also superb and sometimes we buy cheese !!!! But the board outside is always worth a look ...generally a scream 🤣🤣

We were drawn to the Cheese shop by a need for pie! Advertised as the place for the 'poor quality eccles cakes', we bought some of those too! Fantastic, so delicious, and really friendly chatty staff. Can't speak about the cheese though!

The owner is the cheesiest (and most prominent,) thing on the premises! He only wears old socks, and that is to try to LESSEN the smell of old cheese. His jokes are also noticably cheesy, and I do believe he might be plotting my death for leaving this review. Seriously, shop here, he's lovely and his products are out of this world. (In a good way). Ask for picnic eggs wrapped in bacon and pork pies!

Having driven 180 miles to our favourite holiday destination Ribby Hall. We always stop first in Lytham for some shopping. We visited our favourite cheese shop, The Tasty Cheese shop, to sample yet again some lovely cheese. Today we bought the most wonderful Red Leister cheese. The cheese was lovely and moreish. We also purchased 2 of the best Eccles cakes we have ever had the pleasure of tasting, loaded with juicy fruit and wrapped in butterly flaky pastry. Phenomenal.

We did our annual pilgrimage to the Cheese shop for Eccles Cakes and Lancashire cheese. So delicious!!! Also jar of lemon curd and Ginger preserve in the bag !! See you same time next year !!
