Bullying environment. All these "5 star" reviews are from staff members. staffing levels at rock bottom. Care needs not being met

Poor quality of care by the staff, stinks of urine in the hallways, left my grandad sat on the toilet and refused to give him a pad so I had to go get some. The management are useless and incompetent, they have 3 maybe 4 members off staff that will go about and beyond for you other than that I wouldn't recommend this care home at all

The way this service is run is based on a culture of deception which I shall now identify to anyone considering this "care home" for their loved one. Staff and Manager as well as Staff members family have left fake 4/5 star positive reviews on the home to increase ratings. They were all left seven months ago within a week of each other. The reviews totally contradict CQC's findings. The reviews are not genuine and have being wrote in such a manner that tailors to CQC areas of investigations. This is not giving people the information they require to make an informed decision worse yet this is blatant attempt to hoodwink families into choosing The Sycamores for their relative. There are many other great homes in Wakefield who do not have to resort to such underhanded tactics to increase ratings.

There is always a good pleasant atmosphere at The Sycamores and the residents always look happy and settled in their home. It definitely passes the Mum test for me.

I found sycamores care home staff friendly and very polite having a warm and greeting. Having visited the home with donated flowers From my place of employment and helped out on few occasions with events at the home. I saw the staff were very attentive to the residents staying at the home. The home was very clean and well tidy and well equipped and decorated and furnished. I would not hesitate in recommending the home to anyone thinking of using the home and the service it provides
