Great location and beautiful setting, I’ve always loved coming here and have done for years! However the Sunday lunch was a bit disappointing 😬 For the guys, it was too small, some extra sides included for the price would of been nice. Also the service was sooooooo slow! We must of asked for water 5 times and in the end the food server had to get it, the drinks were just forgotten about. Shame, won’t come here for a Sunday lunch again now. With 2 guys over 6foot they need bigger portions and faster service.

It was a lovely day and we went for lunch at the stag. My meal was tasteless and in my opinion not what a Caesar salad should be. I ordered casear salad and it consisted of a romaine lettuce cut in half lengthwise, a couple of asparagus spears and a piece of rather dry chicken with something sprinkled over. Incredibly disappointing and very tasteless. The others had burgers which were fine. To top it off my coffee was just luke warm which I sent back and was brought a hot one. The setting is nice and the pub itself very pretty. I can only comment on the food we ordered hence the score
